It's better than any software from iTunes music libraries to large?

My music collection is about 60,000 tracks and iTunes is beginning to squeaky. I've turned off all special features such as fades, and so on. and only use the list view. I'm running a Pentium D 3gigs of high speed RAM, and storage of my music on a 2gig RAID 5 with a pseudo-controller card hardware. Itunes is okay, but seems to bear the entire library file in memory and has become very slow. I wonder if there is any SQL server-based software or something that would be more appropriate for a collection of this size. Any ideas?

There is no software that can handle many tracks that will be slow no matter what you get. It has nothing to do with fades, etc. is only the size of the list.
