Is there a Linux OS on iPhone?

Is there a opensource project out there for Linux dev on the iphone? If so who?
Also … is there a iphone emulator? I am not looking for a SIMULATOR.

Go to any LUG meeting and you will discover someone is working to install Linux on ANYTHING.
